Music Library
Searches come up empty. Can't
find any songs.It seems as
though you might be misunderstanding the "Search" feature of the
software. It does not
search the internet for music, it *only* searches your computer's
hard drive(s).
If you'd like
to download music, try Emusic.com,
You
might also refine your search. The song might have a different
spelling.
Alternatively, if your songs are in WMA format, you need to
make sure that they do not have Digital Rights Management (DRM)
turned on. Microsoft has an option in Windows Media Player
that can prevent songs from being copied. If you downloaded the
song from certain commercial music services like Napster or Walmart
Music Downloads, it will have this copy protection and you won't
be able to use it with our software. If you copied the song from
a CD yourself, you can turn off the copy protection and copy the
song again without it. To turn this feature off in Windows Media
Player 9, select the "Tools" menu, then the "Copy Music" tab. Un-check
the "Copy protect music" option and click "OK." After doing this,
any tracks you copy with the Windows Media Player you should be
able to load (you will need to re-copy the tracks that wouldn't
load from the CDs again).
Why does the song information change
from what is showing in Windows? When you load
or add a song to MP3 CD Burner, the software reads the "tags" or
song information. In some cases, the "tags" are different
than the actual filename. For example, you could have a file
called
stings-lost-paradise.mp3 located in "My Documents"
but
the tag information might be the following:
Artist: Bush
Album: Untitled
Track Name: Stinky
If
you got this file off the Internet, there is no guarantee that the
tags will be correct, it depends on who did the 'tagging'.
Currently, Acoustica MP3 CD Burner uses the tags.
You
can always fix the tags, though, by either right clicking on the
song and selecting "Edit Tag Information..." or by selecting the
song and dragging it into a folder.
