How to convert AVI to DVD and burn DVD onto a DVD-R

Step 2: Create *.VOB, *.IFO with DVD Author - MPEG to VOB Converter (It is a freeware)

Step 3:   How to burn DVD into a DVD-R / DVD+R / DVD-RW / DVD+RW
           a.  How to burn DVD onto a DVD-R / DVD+R / DVD-RW / DVD+RW with Nero 5.5+
           b.  How to burn DVD onto a DVD-R / DVD+R / DVD-RW / DVD+RW with DVDDecrypter ( DVDDecrypter is a freeware)

Tools required: Latest Cucusoft AVI to VCD/DVD software.

Launch Cucusoft AVI to VCD/DVD, you will see the UI below.
1. Select radio button "AVI to DVD"

2.Select tab of "Merge/Join" or  "Batch"
3. Click "Open AVI File" button to open your avi file
4. (optional) Set your preference: region "4" in red line can set the output MPEG properties.
5.Set the color and the advance settings (Just pro version).

6. Click "Start to Convert" button to start the convert task.

5. After you click "Start to Convert" button, the following dialog will pop up automatically.

6. After finish, the conversion dialog will be closed automatically.

Note:
a. Three kinds of files are created by Cucusoft AVI to DVD. ("*.mpg" is a mpeg file in DVD specification, it  contains Video and Audio; "*.m2v" is a MPEG2 video file, it only contains video; "*.mpa" is a audio file in Layer 2 format, it only contains audio.)
b. The .m2v and .mpa file will be used in the following step.

Launch DVD Author - MPEG to VOB Converter, you will see the UI below.

1.  Click "Open Mpeg File" button to open your Video file, which has been created by Cucusoft.

2. Select the output drive,  it will create a folder named "CucusoftOutput" automatically on this drive. Be sure that you have enough hard disk space, if your mpeg and audio files are 4.37 GB it requires same free space. We recommend you select the biggest drive.

3. Click the button "Start to Author DVD" to author. It will start generating the DVD structure(vob and ifo files), and it will take some time if you are creating a full DVD  

Launch Nero. Please click "Close Wizard" button, you will see the UI below.

1. Select DVD
2. Select "DVD-Video" icon
3. Click "New" button.

After you click "New" button, you will see the UI below.

4.  In "File Browser" window, open your "VIDEO_TS" folder and select all the files in it.
5.  Drag them(see picture below) into "DVDVideo1_DVD" window. Drop all the files into "VIDEO_TS" folder
6. Select File->Write CD or click "Open the write cd dialog..." button at "6".



After you click "Write CD", you will see the UI below.

6. Mark the check box of "Write".
7. Select Write speed, lower may work better if you get problem on playing the DVD.
8. Click "Write" button.



Done.
