The main window is used to control the software, all functions are started here.

The main window are separated into 3 parts:

1. Output Path Control
2. Function Control
3. Media Control

Part 1 - Output Path Control

This part is separated into 3 parts:

1. Output Directory

Type your favor output directory, you can also press the Menu -> File -> Select Output Directory or type ctrl+o to select the output directory.
Easy CD Ripper will create the unexisted directory automatically.

2. Artist

Type your CD's artist, this box will be filled automatically if you run Query CDDB and found the information in the internet.
Easy CD Ripper will place the encoded files in output directory \ artist \ album.

3. Album

Type your CD's album, this box will be filled automatically if you run Query CDDB and found the information in the internet.
Easy CD Ripper will place the encoded files in output directory \ artist \ album.

Part 2- Function Control

This part used to control all the functions of Easy CD Ripper, and it is separated into 4 parts:

• Action
• ID3
• CDDB
• Options

1. Action

Choose output type, sample rate, bitrate, channel, and additional options.

Output Types:


Choose your favor type here.
Easy CD Ripper supports many popular music compressed types, like MP3, WMA etc...
Our software is based on plugin technology, you can also download a new plugin from our site or write one based on our SDK to add new compressed types , it is free!
All plugins named *enc.dll in the plugin directory will be showed here as ecnoder.

Info:

Press it to bring up the encoder plugin information window, you can see the plugin's information or open plugin's expert options window there.

Output Options:


Choose your sample rate, bitrate, channel here.
This option is based on your choosed output type, when you change the output type, this option will change to default value of the output type.

Sync Play

Easy CD Ripper's special function, you can play the songs while encoding. This function uses the wave out plugin Specified in the options' wave out plugin

Clone CD

You have a high quality CD? And you are a professional music fan? You think MP3 is not good enough? OK! You can use this function to colne cd bit by bit perfectly!
Easy CD Ripper can use lossless output types like APE, WAV, etc.. for output.
When finished clone, a CDImage file and a Cue Sheet file will be created in output path.

Over Write Existing Files

Click on this option, the software won't prompt for over write existing files and do it automatically.

Start

Press it to start the function which you chosed.

2. ID3

   Type the song's ID3 information here.
   This function is based on the output type which you selected, if the output type supports ID3, this function will be enabled.
   The song is chosen on the right Track List.
   You can use "TAB" on your keyboard to go to next item.

   

   ">>":

   Select and edit next track, use to speed up your typing.

   Auto Write:

   Use to speed up your typing. you can type artist, album, year, genre and comments for the first track, then press Auto Write to apply to anothers tracks automatically.

   Clear:

   Clear all the ID3 infomation.

   Save ID3:

   Save all the ID3 infomation to the local CDDB. Easy CD Ripper will load this information at startup automatically.

3. CDDB

   Choose the options and functions related to CDDB

   

CDDB Server:

Host:

Choose your favor FreeCDDB host.

Email:

Specify your Email for CDDB submition, you can use the default vaule when you query cddb.

Proxy:

Specify your http proxy address and port when you use proxy to access internet.

Disc Info:

Type the needed information of the CD for CDDB submition.

Category:

Specify the category of the FreeCDDB to store your CD's information.
Other options are your CD's published year, genre and comments.

Submit CDDB:

Press here to submit when you have finished the ID3 and Disc Info.

4. Options

   Choose the options of the plugins and the software.

   

   CDROM:

   Chosse your favor CDROM Reader plugin in the first combo box. Easy CD Ripper will show all the plugins named *cdr.dll in the plugin directory.

   Choose your CDROM in the second combo box. This option is useful if you have more than one CDROM drivers.

   Info:

   Press it to bring up the cdreader plugin information window, you can see the plugin's information or open plugin's expert options window there.

   Jitter:

   Use Jitter to increase the quality, but it is not recommended, because the speed will become slow and would freeze the software when the CD is dirty and very hard to read.

   Files Decoder Plugin:

List all the available files decoders plugin here which named *dec.dll in the plugin directory, you needn't select any decoder, because all the decoder will be used automatically.

Info:

Press it to bring up the decoder plugin information window, you can see the plugin's information or open plugin's expert options window there.

Converter Plugin:

This plugin is used to convert the sample rate and channels of input and output stream.
There is only one available plugin in Version 2.00.
You needn't select any one, the only one plugin is used by deafult and provided unlimited convertion from 9600 sample rate to 196000.

Wave Out Plugin:

This is the soundcard interface plugin which named *out.dll in the plugin directory, DirectSound interface is better then WaveOut interface in quality.

Press it to bring up the waveout plugin information window, you can see the plugin's information or open plugin's expert options window there.

Output file name format:

Choose the output file name format here, you can press the Help button to see the keyword which used to insert into the format phrase.

Part 3- Media Control

This part used to manage your media files, like CD tracks and file which wanted to convert. It contains two parts:

• CD Ripper
• File Converter

CD Ripper:

Choose and edit your favor tracks to rip here.
The CD tracks it showed is based on the CDROM you selected in Options.
This function is based on the CDReader plugin.
You can edit the track's tilte by click on one track and wait for 1 second, or you can double click on one track to edit it's ID3 information.

New CD:

Refresh the CD tracks. When you insert a new CD you must press this to refresh the tracks manually.

Query CDDB:

Press this to query the cd information with FreeCDDB, internet connection is required.

File Converter:

Manage the files used to convert here.
The input format is based on the File Decoder plugin.
You can type "Insert" to insert files.

Delete Source:

Click on it if you want to delete the source when the convertion finished.
